Anti-Drone Guns

Drones are a very controversial piece of new technology. While they can be used to film incredible shots for movies or short videos, they can also be used as weapons. Whether it be spying on someone, carrying a bomb, or using a remote turret gun, drones aren't always as innocent as they look. In this new age of commercial drones, it's difficult to find out if it is a friendly one or not. There are plenty of options for taking out these drones, but the main problem is that you would have to be close to it. This is a problem because if the drone has a gun on it or carrying a bomb you would not want to get close to it at all. DroneShield has been working on a product called the DroneGun, which jams drone signals for up to 1.2 miles. This means that if a drone is flying anywhere in a 1.2 mile radius and is making you uncomfortable, or you think it is a danger, you can take it down. There are several other products like this on the market already, but the problem with these is that they destroy the drone, which cost up to thousands of dollars. The DroneGun is different however. It simply forces the drone to land back where it started at. It also locates the pilot of the drone, making it easy to give the police a location if the drone is doing something illegal. These guns are lightweight and very easy to use, making it ideal for all kinds of security staff.
