Italian Wind Farms

Wind OEM Nordex is set to upgrade and update three wind farms in Italy. They are set to add a brand new power package to 63 turbines operated by Italian renewable independent power producer ERG.

These new upgrades will work to increase the turbine's efficiency by at least 2 percent. The technology to update the now 5 year old Wind Turbines is included as part of Nordex’s standard offering with its newer turbines.

“It’s important for ERG to have a good co-operation with the manufacturer and in Italy we can say that the objective has been achieved through an effective solution for turbines production optimization.” Says the manager of the plant in Italy.

A wind turbine works like a reverse fan. The wind catches the blades, which spins a shaft, which powers a generator to make energy. Wind turbines are a very efficient way of collecting clean energy. The pollution in the world, but in Italy especially, is very great. This updated form of collecting more energy from wind is pivotal to the quality of the environment in Italy.
