The Next iPhone
The Apple iPhone 8 has been a very anticipated piece of technology and more recently we've been hearing many new things about it.
Apple will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the iPhone's launch in the fall of 2017, and is believed to be honoring the occasion by revealing a new premium model later this year, alongside an expected “iPhone 7s” refresh.
The “iPhone 8” is thought to be a considerably high-specification smartphone, boasting an OLED display, wireless charging, and a curved glass back. Major changes are also rumored, such as advanced biometric security and the removal of the physical home button, alterations that could bring the iPhone back to the cutting edge of smartphone design.
which doesn't have a release date, will be Apple's first OLED iPhone and made available in limited quantities. But that may not matter if you're saving your pennies.
Recent rumors surrounding the iPhone 8 are that it will cost a staggering $1,000, according to MacRumors. The phone is rumored to feature some of Apple's most advanced technology yet, including an edge-to-edge screen.
The $1,000 price will be Apple's most high-end phone yet. Expect it's release to come with other, lower priced models like an iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. The picture on the side is a picture from the launch on the iPhone 7 late last year, the technology was a step up from the previous apple iPhone 6s but the new iPhone 8 is expected to have a much bigger upgrade, which will effect the cost.
Arcuri's forecasts call for shipments between 55 million and 60 million for the new "iPhone 8" with OLED display. He believes Apple will ship another 20 million to 25 million for a so-called "iPhone 7s Plus," and an additional 35 million to 40 million for a 4.7-inch "iPhone 7s." He believes Apple could be in a position to ship some 110 million units of its trio of new iPhones later this year. Apple typically launches new handsets with a few days to go in its September quarter, with the bulk of new sales falling in the following holiday quarter.
